Sustain is an artist owned and operated art gallery and work space located at 1201 West Leland Avenue, in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Sustain aims to be a resource for the Uptown community, and a resourceful space for women, queer and trans folks, people of color, and the differently abled.

We sell and exhibit various art forms ranging from original art works, prints, literary works, new media, performance and beyond. In maintaining inclusivity we have open call and submission for gallery shows, workshops, individual works and other project proposals that parallel our ideas.

Sustain is open to the public, and our multi-use space is wheel chair accessible.

Separate from the gallery, we also run a small DIY tape label Niatsus (which is just pronounced "sustain") and produce physical releases for visual/audio artists, runs of 1-100+ on cassette and VHS. See the page titled Niatsus for more information!

Please contact us with any questions via email, phone, or the form on the About us page.
